Kirwood Forest Musician Camp
Jen is Pond Hill Farm’s Music Coordinator. Her musician bookings were challenged when it came to hiring out-of-town entertainers that were faced with the area’s high-cost lodging options. Jen & Kirby (who is also one of Pond Hill Farm’s local musicians/entertainers) decided to convert the backyard of their Boynton Valley property into a no-cost lodging option and a unique camping experience for traveling musicians. This camp is located 6 miles from Pond Hill Farm (a 10-minute drive). It is a goodwill benefit offered exclusively to Pond Hill Farm musicians and is not for rent to the public. It is complete with individual campers, a studio apartment, a fully-equipped kitchen, lounge area, hot shower, tiki bar and firepit.
“Walter” is a 1975 18-ft. camper with a queen-size bed, tucked into a wooded corner of Kirwood Forest. He’s a pretty comfy fit for any weary musician!
The “Gypsywagon” was transformed from a 1978 Dodge Class C Winnebago Jamboree Motorhome. Kirby’s craftmanship turned the old gal into what she is today….another neat crash pad with a full-size bed and a complete gypsy vibe.
The Green Goblin is yet another fun little rig! She is a 1999 Dodge Van that was originally a handicap transport van for an assisted-living home in Florida. Kirby’s craftsmanship once again came into play as he gutted the interior and turned her into their perfect little weekend getaway rig. It has a comfy full-size bed and is a great sleeper amongst the Musician Camp fleet of campers.
“Jus’ Kiddin'” is a fully renovated 22-ft. school bus that has a double bed and a very unique vibe. Kirby’s woodworking skills shine throughout the design of this converted bus camper!
“The Music Studio” is located above Kirby’s woodshop and has yet one more full-size bed. The Studio overlooks the entire property and is a pretty cool place to lay your head for the night.
Kirwood Forest Musician Camp is complete with a fully-equipped outdoor kitchen that includes a coffeemaker, microwave, refrigerator, outdoor cooking stove, pots, pans, dishes/silverware, and barbecue grill. Bring your own food and drink and make full use of everything we have to offer!
Musician Camp Lounge Area – Sit and relax a spell! There’s even a cribbage board, a box of dominoes and a deck of cards if you feel like challenging each other to a little competition while hanging out here.
Kirwood Forest Tiki Bar and Jam Stage – This is where we host our jam parties on the first Sunday of the month, but it’s also a fun place to just hang out and drink a cold beverage.
Fire Pit – And don’t be surprised if you come back after your gig at Pond Hill Farm to a campfire and your hosts Kirby & Jen hanging out waiting for your arrival! It’s one of our favorite spots to share good times with new friends and old.
